No, I am not faster than my shadow – for example, this painting took me about 10 sessions – but it is a subject that continues to fascinate me. The great difference in effect that sunlight and shadow have on the same surface continues to amaze me and continues to invite me to paint scenes like this. In short: I am far from finished with the subject of shadow.
