During a summer evening walk, I became fascinated by a grove on the company grounds of Johnson Wax in Mijdrecht (known for the “boomerang over the pond”).
It was mostly the high-pile white carpet of (probably) Whistleweed that the trees were in that attracted me. There was a fence separating me from the grove, but of course that doesn’t stop me from making a beautiful painting of it! The work is contrasting, but also very colorful. But for that, you actually have to see it in real life. See also the detail photos.
