Most of the polder is flat, flat. Except at the edge. Because there is almost always a body of water there to which the water from the polder is drained. Here it concerns the (second deepest polder in the Netherlands) polder Groot Mijdrecht Noord, upper part, against the Fort near the Botshol. If you walk through the new nature reserve Waverhoek, at some point you come out on the dike near the fort. In spring the dike embankment there is full and beautiful in yellow flowers.
