Westerheide, a beautiful heathland area of some 344 hectares between Hilversum and Laren. There are wide sandy paths, grassy paths and very narrow paths between the heather. Here and there are smaller and larger patches of trees. You can see most of this in this painting for which I was inspired during a walk in August 2016.

Modern-pointillist painting in professional quality acrylic paint on 430 grs linen canvas stretched on a 4cm thick 100x120cm wooden frame. The work is finished with a high quality acrylic varnish. The painting is specially framed; namely with a black, 2cm thick, tight wooden frame so that the painted sides remain visible.
