During a summer evening walk I became fascinated by a bush on the Johnson Wax company site in Mijdrecht (known for the ‘boomerang above the pond’). It was especially the long-pile white carpet of (probably) cow parsley in which the trees stood that attracted me. There was a fence that separated me from the bush, but that didn’t stop me from making a nice painting of it! The work is rich in contrast, but also very colourful. But for that you actually have to see it in real life. See also the detailed photos.
