Flower Frontier

Why are we so attached to borders? Of our garden, of our village or of our land or country? We live well and nice over here and we would like to keep it that way. So we cordon off our territory to others. That kind of thing comes to mind when I see one of those beautiful fields of wild flowers, bordered by a fence and behind it a completely flowerless lawn. Haves and have-nots. The difference between rich and poor… It just seems like a pretty picture (and enjoy it for the most part), but it doesn’t hurt if you provoke thought.
